OBJECTIVES:  This position will develop and maintain new and/or legacy software products, procedures, and techniques, as well as providing innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions to meet technical objectives and timing.  This is a hands-on development and API support role with a team of experienced developers. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop software based on specifications provided by internal and external customers across Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative SDLC methodologies
  • Maintain and support existing and new code base (C#, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, Entity Framework, MVC)
  • Function well in a smaller team environment, and constructively contribute to enhancing the group output
  • Work with IT and senior development staff to provide REST API support to external customers as needed
  • Create troubleshooting documentation and process documentation for API support
  • Conduct proper client support related to all company projects
  • Assist with project estimating and proposals
  • Provide consultation to customers
  • Produce timely and accurate reports of work completed
  • Participate in the development and dissemination of coding standards, and adhere to said standards
  • Stay current with evolving technologies
  • All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (to qualify for this position the incumbent will need to have):

  • Computer Science degree required or equivalent development related experience
  • Object oriented design, MS SQL Server, Microsoft C#, .NET Framework, Entity Framework and MVC preferred
  • UI/UX, AngularJS, MongoDB and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) experience a plus
  • Application High Availability development and design (Clustering, Load balancing, etc.) experience a plus
  • Azure, AWS, Google Compute (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) experience a plus
  • Microsoft Team Foundation Server (or other source code management system)
  • Various SDLC methodology experience required, especially traditional waterfall and agile scrum
